Introduction and Biography on Jodi Picoult

      Jodi Picoult was born on Long Island New York. Pretty much ever since then, she has wanted to be a writer. She studied creative writing at Princeton. She got small jobs every once in a while, but once she got married and had her first child, she wrote her first book, Songs of the Humpback Whale. People saw that her writing was different, and loved her books. Now, she is a best selling author, and is one of the top choices for book clubs.
      My Sister's Keeper is about the story of a young girl, Anna Fitzgerald. Anna was not conceived like any other kid her age. She was engineered to be a perfect match for her very sick sister. Anna grows tired of countless surgeries, and getting pricked and poked, so she sues her parents for the rights to her own body. This lawsuit brings much tension into the family life, but Anna wants these rights and will not give up until she gets them.
